NetApp Certifications
Validate your NetApp knowledge and skills with one of the following certifications.
NetApp Certified Data Management Administrator (NCDA)
NetApp Certified Data Management Admin. This certification is for data management administrators and anyone who needs to perform in-depth support, administrative functions, and performance management of NetApp products and solutions.
The old Expert Certification (NACE) has been replaced by NCDA and the curriculum that supports NCDA is an updated version of the NACE curriculum. All logos and certificates will be granted to those individuals who successfully pass the required exams.
If you earned the NACE Certification on or after January 1st, 2006 you are being grandfathered and are entitled to use the new credentials. There is no further action required on your behalf.
NCDA is not a pre-requisite for the NCSA, NCIE or NCSE certifications.
It is recommended that all NACA and NACP certified candidates achieve NCDA certification by December 31, 2007.
Required Exams:
The number of exams required has been reduced from 4 to 2 which are:
Exam 153: Storage Networking
Exam 163: Data Protection Solutions

Data ONTAP CIFS Administration (CIFS)
Data ONTAP NFS Administration (NFS)
Recommended Training for Exam 163:
Data Protection and Retention (DPR)
High Availability (Available through your NOW account)
NetApp Certified Solution Architect (NCSA)
This certification is designed for Pre-Sales SEs and anyone who is architecting a NetApp Solution.
Exam Requirements:
Exam NSO-301
Exam NSO-310
Exam NSO-320
There are additional specializations under development to fulfil the NCSA.
