Updating from Windows NT to Windows 2000 (1560)


Who Should Attend

Windows 2000 network administrators and professionals responsible for the management and technical support of Windows 2000 networks, support engineers, MCP and MCSE candidates.


Prerequisites

Completion of courses (E-803) Windows NT 4.0 Administration and (E-922) Windows NT 4.0 Core Technologies, a working knowledge and experience in supporting networks, IP subnetting and routing principles, DHCP, WINS or equivalent experience.


Course Objectives

This course upgrades the knowledge and skills of Windows NT 4.0 professionals in order to manage and support Windows 2000 networks more effectively. The course content applies to Windows 2000 Professional, Server and Advanced Server. Participants learn how to install and administer a Windows 2000 network and Active Directory, manage applications and file systems, install and configure Terminal Services, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Remote Access, implement disaster protection and recovery procedures, perform basic troubleshooting and upgrade a Windows NT 4.0 network to Windows 2000.
