Prerequisites
| Basic understanding of computer hardware such as RAM, hard disks, CPUs, etc. Experience using the Windows interface to configure the desktop and manage folders and files, and basic understanding of networking fundamentals. |
Course Objectives
| This course provides the necessary knowledge and skills required to perform common administration tasks in a single-domain Microsoft Windows 2000 network. Participants learn and receive hands-on experience on how to administer Active Directory, manage user and group accounts, provide secure access to network resources, administer file resources and data storage, set-up and administer network printers. Students will also practice and learn how to monitor and audit access to network resources, perform system backup and restore procedures, monitor and troubleshoot both local and remote Windows 2000 computers. |
