Who Should Attend

Windows 2000 network administrators, professionals and systems engineers responsible for the deployment of Windows 2000 network infrastructures, support engineers, MCP and MCSE candidates


Prerequisites

Completion of course (E-2152) Implementing Win2000 Professional and Win2000 Server or equivalent knowledge and experience.


Course Objectives

This course teaches the knowledge and skills needed for installing, configuring, managing and supporting Windows 2000 Server network infrastructures. Participants will learn and practice installing, configuring, integrating and managing Windows 2000 networking services, including DHCP, DNS, WINS, Remote Access, RADIUS, Terminal Services and RIS. Throughout the course, candidates will explore the architecture and processing of each service, learn to utilise various tools and procedures to ensure network reliability, and provide effective management and troubleshooting. The course also covers connectivity network services, such as Services for Macintosh, NetWare, SNA and UNIX

Managing and Troubleshooting Routing and Remote Access
Implementing RADIUS Authentication and Accounting on Remote Access Server
Implementing and troubleshooting Windows 2000 Routers, OSPF, RIP
Enabling Internet Access for a Windows 2000 network
Installing, Configuring, Administering and Troubleshooting IIS
Installing Windows 2000 Professional on clients using RIS
Integrating Windows 2000 Network Services - DHCP, RAS, DNS, WINS
Managing a Windows 2000 Network using Terminal Services and SNMP
Monitoring and Troubleshooting Windows 2000 Networking
Connecting Windows 2000 to NetWare, Macintosh, SNA and UNIX networks
