| This course is intended for individuals who are employed as or are seeking employment as a systems administrator or systems engineer. |
Prerequisites
| Students must have CompTIA A+ certification and CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent knowledge. Completion of course (2208) Updating Systems Administration Skills from MS Windows NT 4.0 to Windows Server 2003. Course Objectives
| This course provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to that are needed to manage MS Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000 Professional-based computers in a MS Windows Server 2003 environment.

| Attendees will learn how to plan and perform an installation of Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000, install and support hardware devices and drivers on computers running Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000, identify and resolve boot process issues on computers running Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000 and configure desktop settings for computers running Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000.

| Participants will also learn how to configure security settings for MS Internet Explorer and application compatibility for computers running Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000, configure computers to run Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000 in a Windows networking environment and configure and support computers running Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000 for mobile computing |
